To have a 109 bhp 1.0-liter TSI engine
A new report indicates Audi's version of the Volkswagen up! will allegedly go on sale in 2015.
It's not the first time we hear about Audi getting its own up! but now there are more details to share. The car will reportedly receive the "A0" moniker and will be based on the same platform which underpins the up!, Mii and Citigo trio but with Audi's familiar styling cues such as the trapezoidal front grille, as well as LED lights and different alloys. In addition, the cabin will get better plastics, leather trim and an uprated infotainment system.
Under the hood it is expected to receive the punchy 1.0-liter TSI engine from the up! GT concept which packs 100 HP (73.5 kW) so it will be considerably more powerful than the VW up!
All these upgrades will come at a price as the Audi A0 will be more expensive than the Volkswagen up!, with the report indicating an estimated starting price of 11,500 GBP (about 18,400 USD or 13,700 EUR).
Chances are the A0 could receive the electric setup of the forthcoming e-up! and also a diesel-electric hybrid arrangement derived from the XL1.
